Facial Strigil

I began dry brushing (face and body) in May 2018, adding in additional steps and items from Tonya's protocol - the mini pin pad, facial exercises and massage - as the year into this one progressed. The strigil seemed like a logical next step. To be honest, though, I didn't have very high expectations for this device: without seeing it in hand, it was tough to tell if this would be similar to a gua sha tool or too rounded to make a difference. But, a Black Friday sale combined with curiosity gave me impetus to give it a go.

Honestly - my expectations have been completely blown away. Within just a day's use, I could visibly see an improvement and absolutely felt it by the next morning (I use it before bed, after my standard facial massage and while my face is still lubricated with coconut oil). Two weeks later, the lady who waxes my lip (lol) and sees my skin up close demanded to know exactly what I'm doing to my face to make it look so good, since I proudly don't wear coverup, just some eye makeup and lip color. If I could make a comparison, it's like a dermaplaning tool minus the hair removal - that good of a close scrape, and a pleasurable and relaxing one at that.

If you're "new" to this lifestyle or elevated way of taking care of your complexion, I would say that this is something you might want to add in further down the line, once you've got more discipline or other habits under your belt. If, on the other hand, you're like me and had been eyeing this thing - get it.

Found the facial dry brushing too harsh for my skin no matter how much I tried to incorporate it into my routine. It just never clicked with me and always left my skin feeling dry. This however is lovely because I can exfoliate the dead skin while oil acts as a barrier so it's less abrasive. Love this. Using it 2wice a day with awesome results and a beautiful glow. We'll see with time if I have to adjust the frequency because my skin is sensitive.

I always wanted one of these things and was delighted to find it on your site. I use it daily in the shower and find that it removes all the gunk and impurities in my pores. My skin feels so smooth afterward. I accidentally dropped it on the tile floor and it got chipped all along the edge. Couldn't live without it so I bought a new one. It's my single most indispensable tool for skin care. Wish I could use it on my scalp too!

I have been using the facial strigil for a month now and my skin texture is so soft, my pores are noticably finer and a younger glow is now starting to appear. Pleasantly suprised that such a simple tool is so effective. I have just recieved my face and body brushes in the mail and look foreward to great results.
